Every blanket is made from excess clothing materials that otherwise would end up in the landfill. First, they're shredded into a pulp, and then they're upcycled into yarn.
By repurposing high-quality materials, we're able to minimize our environmental impact and create less waste for our planet.
Every blanket we make is also designed to last and become an heirloom item, not end up in a landfill shortly after you buy it.

Trek Light's handwoven blankets are machine washable. Wash cold on a delicate cycle and air dry or tumble low, without other items in the machine to avoid any potential damage.
For the safest and best care, the blankets can be dry cleaned. But, we're also fans of Mitch Hedberg's take on dry cleaning: "This [blanket] is dry clean only, which means...it's dirty."
So go ahead, use it, wash it, love it, and your blanket will love you right back.
This blanket is what we consider a Midweight blanket, weighing around 3.2 lbs.

I purchased the Halley’s Comet rug coming in at $175. When I got the rug it had some literal neon colors in it that weren’t on the website. When I reached out they said I should look at customer review photos for realistic colors and that they run differently. So now I have to return it and hope that the exact same rug doesn’t have parking cone orange in it. How many times will I have to do this? Probably going to return it. Not worth the time and money. Also a disclaimer before you purchase to check customer photos for a realistic color scheme would be great.
