[UPDATE: Contest is now closed!]

As many of you learned last year, July 22nd is officially known as National Hammock Day (I swear we didn’t make it up, though we would have if it didn’t exist!).  We celebrated in 2011 with a massive giveaway and we’re doing it all over again this year.

This time we’re giving away over $1700 in prizes and 34 people are going to walk away winners!!!

It’s our way of saying thanks for following along with us and introducing a whole lot of new people to what we’re all about at Trek Light Gear.

The contest will work the same as last year,  thanks to a handy contest widget from our Boulder friends Rafflecopter.   The contest is setup like a raffle, there are multiple ways you can enter and every entry is like a raffle ticket – the winners will be chosen at random so the more entry points you have the better your chances of winning.  Some of the entry methods take some more time and effort and you’ll be rewarded with more points accordingly.  There are also some entries that you can do once per day, so set yourself a reminder and you’ll be able to rack up points every day of the contest.

The contest begins right now and will run until 12:01am EST on August 21st – which gives you plenty of time to work on some of the bigger entries like making a creative video and of course getting that Trek Light Gear tattoo. (If you missed it last year – we had one amazing fan get a tattoo to become an instant winner…Chad Patzer, you’re still a Trek Light Hero in our book!!)

Use the contest widget below to get your entries in, if you have questions or trouble entering let us know in the comments so we can help you out.  Happy Hammock Day – we’re going to keep the party going for a full month!!

Trek Light Gear wouldn't exist today if it weren't for the incredible teachers and librarians that helped us grow. Now it's our turn to give back and show our appreciation.
