For many of us, life is better on a bike.
You can get outside, feel the wind in your face, and take in the scenery as you take on the open road. After a long ride (or in the middle of one), you deserve a serious rest. So you park your bike and head for the nearest bench, chair or piece of flat ground – and put your butt right back down on a hard seat? Not anymore! Next time you gear up for a day of pedaling, or a road trip on your chopper, slip a Trek Light Hammock on your bike or in your pack. It only weighs a pound and is no bigger than your water bottle; you won’t even know it’s there. Then, when you need a break, don’t sit on a rock to enjoy that view. Look for a couple of trees and throw up your hammock. Can’t find trees? You can use street signs, rocks, poles, climbing hitches, or anything else you can find that’s sturdy.
We know that for cyclists and bikers, space is always an issue. That’s why we make our hammocks so light and compact that you’ll never think twice about bringing it with you. Slip it into your pouch, bag, or just strap it on the frame of your bike. Trek Light Gear has made appearances at both the Sturgis motorcycle rally in South Dakota and the RAGBRAI (an amazing touring bike ride across Iowa) and our portable hammocks are always a huge hit with every cyclist and motorcycle lover we talk to. We also sponsored the eLIFELIST ‘Bike Across America’ ride in 2007 and got to see two determined cyclists pedal across America, sleeping and resting in Trek Light Hammocks along the way.
We’ve had the opportunity to see a lot of happy bikers and cyclists ride off with a Trek Light portable hammock on their bike and we’d love the opportunity to change the way you think about your next ride.
“We wanted to thank you for Trek Light Hammocks’ sponsorship of eLIFELIST.com’s bicycle trip across America … We loved using the hammocks when the weather was nice and sleeping under the stars is the best way to experience camping. The hammocks were light and excellent to even just lounge around in.”
